NOW ON SATURDAY, the Cleveland 10K, like the other races features a relatively fast and flat course, great volunteer support and a scenic view of downtown Cleveland and some of its most beautiful suburbs. The course has been designed for our athletes to enjoy views of Lake Erie and many other Cleveland highlights. The 10K route is USATF certified.

All 10K runners and walkers will receive a short-sleeved tri-blend T-shirt in men's/women's cut, goody bag, finisher's medal, food and refreshments at the finish line, and one free Great Lakes Brewing Company beer or Tito's drink (21 and over only).

Age Group Awards (Running Division)

The top 3 male and female finishers in each age group will receive an award that will be mailed out after the event.

-Top 3 Males and Females in each Age Group:

  • 14 & Under
  • 15 - 19
  • 20 - 24
  • 25 - 29
  • 30 - 34
  • 35 - 39
  • 40 - 44
  • 45 - 49
  • 50 - 54
  • 55 - 59
  • 60 - 64
  • 65 - 69
  • 70 & Over

Awards (Walking Division)

The top 3 overall male and female finishers in the 10K Walking Division will receive an award that will be mailed after the event.

In order to compete in the walking division, you will be expected to walk the entire distance; completion of the course is on the honor system.

If you win an award and did not walk the entire route, you will be expected to inform the race officials in order to move you into the 10K Running Division.


10K Course Time Limit

The Rite Aid Cleveland 10K route is secured by city officials who are obligated to maintain traffic flow and re-open street closures within a reasonable and set timeframe on race day.

The 10K course will be open for 2 hours beginning at 7:30 am for both runners and walkers. All 10K participants must reach various checkpoints along the route in order to maintain the proper pace to ensure completing within the 2-hour course time limit. Please note that the 2-hour time limit is based on clock time, not chip time.
