Cleveland Marathon relay We now have a 3 person relay! 2027 Cleveland Marathon Relay Three runners. One marathon. One unforgettable way to celebrate 50 years of Cleveland running. For the first time, you can experience the excitement of the Cleveland Marathon as a team! The 2027 Cleveland Marathon Relay gives three teammates the opportunity to run the marathon course together—each completing one leg before handing off to the next runner. Teams will complete the full 26.2-mile marathon distance in three legs: Leg 1: 5.1 miles Leg 2: 7.8 miles Leg 3: 13.3 miles Teams can compete in Male, Female, or Mixed divisions. Relay Exchange Points Runners will meet their teammates at designated exchange points along the course: Exchange 1: W. 3rd Street & Lakeside Avenue — approximately 5.1 miles Exchange 2: Near W. 6th Street & W. Huron Road — approximately 13 miles (location to be finalized) Exchange 3: Detroit-Superior Bridge — approximately 13.1 miles After completing their relay leg, runners can easily make their way to the finish line and join their teammates for the 26.3 Mile After Party. The first exchange point is approximately 0.3 miles from the finish area, while the second exchange point is approximately 0.5 miles away, making it a convenient walk back to the celebration. No shuttle service is provided or needed—just a short walk to reconnect with your team and enjoy the finish line festivities together. Whether you're running with friends, family, coworkers, or a combination of all three, the Cleveland Marathon Relay is a fun and memorable way to experience race day and celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Cleveland Marathon.
