University Hospitals Cleveland Marathon Announces Partnership with Apparel Maker Athletifreak

CLEVELAND - (March 12, 2026) — The University Hospitals Cleveland Marathon today announced luxury activewear brand Athletifreak as its “Partner in Energy” - providing participant shirts and more race apparel for runners, volunteers and others during 2026 race weekend.

“People wear their UH Cleveland Marathon t-shirts with pride because it reminds of their personal accomplishments and because it’s a shoutout to The Land and the greatest distance event on the North Coast, ” said Race Director Ralph Staph. “People want to rep Cleveland long after they’ve crossed the finish line. We were so happy to find a partner as fanatical as us in Athletifreak. We think people are going to love the shirts.”

“The University Hospitals Cleveland Marathon really is an ideal partner for Athletifreak,” said Founder Mo Wadhwani. “We love the history, we love Cleveland, and like us, they are really focused on elevated experiences for all the athletes. It is at these events where, although we come together from different places, we look different or speak a different language, we may run at different speeds – in the end what matters is that we are all running in the same direction. Athletifreak was founded in 2021 in Basking Ridge, NJ from a freakish passion for movement. Husband and wife founders, Mo and Noor, were inspired to create the company by their own activity and desire for comfortable apparel that kept you moving. Instead of chasing a category they wanted to build what they couldn’t find - clothing that could move through every part of the day without asking you to dial it down or blend in. Today, Athletifreak has expanded to multiple running events including the UH Cleveland Marathon, 2026 Jersey City Marathon, and The Rocky Run in Philadelphia.

Registration is open for the 49th University Hospitals Cleveland Marathon welcoming runners back to The Land May 16 - 17. As northeast Ohio’s premier distance running event, race weekend features activities for all ages and skill levels, from the 5K, 10K and Kids Fun Run to the half and full marathons and Two-Day Challenge Series. The University Hospitals Cleveland Marathon is committed to working with organizations featuring the diverse talent and ingenuity across northeast Ohio.
