2025 University Hospitals Cleveland Marathon Raises Nearly $800,000 for Charity Partners

CLEVELAND - (June 11, 2025) — The 2025 University Hospitals Cleveland Marathon announced today it had raised $774,033 for 40 partner organizations over race weekend through its Charity Program. The University Hospitals Cleveland Marathon has helped raise well over $5 million for local charitable organizations since its inception in 1977.

“Next to the energy at the start line each year, this is my favorite moment of the marathon season,” said Race Director Ralph Staph. “Runners work and train for months for a lot more than just their own personal accomplishment and pride. Their efforts drive meaningful donations to some of our region’s most worthy organizations and that impact will be felt long after the soreness of the race subsides. We’re proud of our role in raising more than $5 million for local charities since our founding.”

The University Hospitals Cleveland Marathon will return next year for its 49th season as runners get another chance to race The Land May 16-17, 2026. Registration for all events opens soon.

The University Hospitals Cleveland Marathon has a long-standing commitment to the charitable community. The Charity Program allows organizations of all sizes and interests to raise funds by providing the tools and knowledge to create an effective fundraising vehicle. All charities are welcome to participate. Charitable organizations can learn more about becoming an official partner on our website.
