In its 33rd year, the Cleveland Marathon features a relatively flat and fast course, great volunteer support and a scenic view of downtown Cleveland and its major landmarks. The course has been designed for our athletes to enjoy views of Browns Stadium, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Lake Erie and many other Cleveland highlights.
**The Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon has no limit on the size of the field and requires no qualifying time to enter. Official times of the 26.2-mile competitive foot race are maintained for 8 hours.
**Unfortunately, due to the unexpected increase in runners this year, we had to cap the half and full marathon for the safety of the runners and to comply with city requirements.
All Marathon runners/walkers will receive a goodie bag, T-shirt, and a PDF results book that will be posted online after the race. Marathon finishers will receive a unique finishers medallion with an electric guitar that spins. Marathon finishers will also receive a finishers certificate that will be mailed out after the race. The top 3 male and female finishers in each age group will receive an award.
Marathon Walkers
In order to complete in the walking division, you will be expected to walk the entire distance; completion of the course is on the honor system. The overall top 5 male and females will receive an award.
If you win an award and did not walk the entire route, you will be expected to inform the race officials in order to move you into marathon running division.
