2019 registration and packet pick-up FAQs                                                

The 42nd Annual Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon is right around the corner so please be sure you are ready to start the weekend off on the right foot. On May 17th or 18th you must attend the Health and Fitness Expo in order to pick up your race bib, t-shirt, goody bag and other race materials. If you need make changes regarding your registration, please review the FAQ's on the page or contact us at info@clevelandmarathon.com for instructions.

Event transfers, switches, edits

How do I transfer my registration to another person if I cannot run?

Online transfer is no longer available. If you wish to transfer your registration to another person, you may complete the transfer at the Health and Fitness Expo on Friday or Saturday, May 17 or 18.

Original Participant:  You must sign the Transfer Form and have the transferee bring the completed and signed form to the Expo.

Transferee (New Participant):  Bring the following items with you to the Expo:

  • Transfer Form - completed and signed
  • Copy of original participants ID (photo on cell phone is fine)
  • $20 Transfer fee (cash, check or credit card accepted)

Upon arrival at the expo, you will need to pick up the orginal participant's bib as well as their T-shirt and go to the Registration Desk to complete the process. The new participant will pay the $20 transfer fee turn in original bib. New participant will then complete the full registration process and receive a new bib number.  

Please Note: 

  • There are no refunds to the original participant.
  • You must transfer into the same event as the original participant. If not, you will need to also have an Event Switch processed at the Expo.
  • You cannot transfer to an event that is sold out. There is no guarantee the distance you want will still be open for registrations at the Expo.
  • You will need to take the t-shirt size ordered by the original participant, but you may trade it at the t-shirt swap table if your size is available.

How can I change events (upgrade or downgrade)?

You may change events at the Health and Fitness Expo on May 17 and 18, unless an event is SOLD OUT. There is a fee of $20 to change events, plus the difference in event fees if you are switching to a more expensive event. If you are switching to a less expensive event, there is no refund. PLEASE NOTE: Switching event fees are cash, check or credit card.

Please pick up your original bib and t-shirt and take it to the Solutions Desk to submit your change.

How can I change the questions I answered on my registration?


Basic information, name correction in the case of a mispelling, address change, birthdate errors, age, etc, must be submitted at the Health and Fitness Expo.
Please pick up your bib and t-shirt then go to the Solutions Desk to submit your change(s).

How do I check my Bib# (Attendee ID#)? 

*Please note: In Events.com your "Bib#" is listed as your "Attendee ID"

1. LOG IN to events.com. If you don’t have an account, select SIGN UP and use the same email as listed on your registration or ticket.
2. As a participant your account will start by loading all of your events under MY EVENTS.
3. Find the event you are attending and click on VIEW ORDER.
4. Your ATTENDEE NUMBER/BIB NUMBER should appear below your name and your registration number.

Please note: 

  • You will receive an email from Events.com either the week of May13 which includes your Attendee ID#. THIS IS THE SAME AS YOUR BIB NUMBER. You will need this number when you go to the Health and Fitness Expo to pick up your bib and other race items.
  • There will also be bib number look-up booklets in the area upstairs from the Expo showroom.

refunds or deferrals

I cannot attend the race, can I get a refund?
Sorry there are no refunds or deferrals to future events.

I purchased the Attendee Insurance when I registered. How do I file a claim?
Please file a claim through the Ticket Guardian website. The deadline to file a claim is 5/17/2019 at 11:59 pm.
