2021 Cleveland Marathon virtual Race Options

We now have Virtual Race options available for those not comfortable attending in-person! You can choose from the following distances to run the Union Home Mortgage Cleveland Marathon anywhere and anytime on May 15 - 16, 2021. Race distances include:

Virtual Race Runners

  • Full Marathon
  • Half Marathon
  • 10K
  • 5K
  • Challenge Series (includes 5K/Half Marathon, 5K/Full Marathon, 10K/Half Marathon, 10K/Full Marathon). Must run two consecutive days (one distance per day).

All virtual runners will receive a t-shirt and medal! Challenge participants will also receive a third medal and Cleveland Marathon duffel bag.

You may have your shirt and medal mailed to you or pick it up in person.

Already registered? Please let us know which swag option you prefer by completing the following steps (new registrants will be able to choose the option at the time of registration):

1) Log in to your Race Roster account dashboard.
2) Click on "Edit Registration"
3) Click on "Registration Questions"
4) Scroll down to "Swag Options"
5) Choose your option and "Save"

Please also make sure your mailing address is up-to-date if choosing the mailing option.

T-shirts and medals will be mailed out beginning the week of May 24 - first week in June.

In-person swag pick up for local runners will be available the week of May 24- 31 at:

FAQs

How does the virtual race work?

  • Do the distance you signed up for on Saturday or Sunday, May 15 & 16, 2021, or on both days for the Challenge Series. You can run anywhere and any time you choose.
  • Document it! Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter then use hashtag #IConqueredMyLand. Show us your training, progress and your virtual event!

  • Post your results! Submit your results when you complete your event. Results can be submitted from May 15 - 20, 2021. You may upload a finishers photo if you would like (not mandatory). Results link will be live on the website beginning May 15 - please check back.
  • Get your swag! Please be sure to post your results so we know your completed your event. We will send you your shirt and medal in the mail or you can pick it up. Be sure to let us know in advance which swag option you prefer.

How do I complete the challenge series?

Any of the 4 Challenge Series (5K/Half Marathon, 5K/Full Marathon, 10K/Half Marathon, 10K/Full Marathon) should be completed as you normally would during race weekend - in two consecutive days. When you submit your results, you will submit one time. Your t-shirts, medals and duffel bag will all be mailed to you after the event or you may pick up in person at Fleet Feet Northfield.

Has the 2021 race officially converted to a virtual race?

No, the virtual race options are available in addition to the in-person race that is currently in the planning process for the fall of 2021.

Can my 2020 registration deferral be used for the virtual race?

Yes, you can use your registration deferral for the virtual race. Please contact us to have your 2021 deferral switched to virtual.

If I am registered for the 2021 in-person race and want to switch to the virtual race, am I allowed?

Yes, please contact the marathon office at info@clevelandmarathon.com to submit your request.

Please Note:
Transfers into a virtual race are available until May 10, 2021 (This date is subject to change).

How to Submit Your Results

  1. Click on the "Submit Results Now" button below (THE LINK WILL BE LIVE ON MAY 15)
  2. Confirm your registration by entering 1) Your registration confirmation code and 2) Last name, then click "Confirm Registration"
  3. Click "Submit a Virtual Result"
  4. Enter your finish time in the format below, select your distance, check the "terms" box then click "Submit Results"

  • You will be able to upload your results with or without proof/photo.
  • You will also be able download, print or share your custom Finishers Certificate by clicking on your name.
