3.4.14 - Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon Announces Several New Partnerships
Nike, Think Media Studios, Crons and Boom Nutrition sign on
CLEVELAND (March 4, 2014) - The Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon announced several new sponsorships for the 2014 race taking place May 17-18, including a partnership with Think Media Studios to film and produce promotional videos prior to the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon. The event also gained sponsorships with Nike, Crons and Boom Nutrition to provide products to the runners during the event.
"Teaming up with the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon made sense for us. This event has so much history behind it and such impactful stories to tell," says Mary Hipp, director of marketing at Think Media Studios. "We are excited to be a part of an event that brings thousands of people together for the collective good of some of Cleveland's finest and most deserving charities."
Think Media Studios will be on-site on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18 to film the action and excitement of the events. The company produces video and multimedia assets for a range of users from broadcast to web integration and uses storytelling to produce commercial items. Nike has joined the 37th annual Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon as the apparel sponsor. All of the participant shirts will be Nike brand this year. Nike merchandise will also be available at the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon store at the Health and Fitness Expo and online after the race. Further information on Nike is available at www.nike.com.

"Sponsors are the life blood of an event like the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon," said Race Director Ralph Staph. "Each of the companies we partner with brings an important aspect of the race to the runners, while helping to keep the expenses down, which ultimately results in us being able to keep our prices low for our participants."
One of the 50 oldest races in the country, the 2014 Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon will take place May 17-18. The following opportunities are available for people to participate in the event: full marathon, half marathon, 10K, full marathon walking division, half marathon walking division, 10K walking division, 5K (run or walk) and Kids' Run. Last year, the half marathon sold out for the third year in a row and the marathon, 10K and 5K came close to reaching their respective caps as well. 20,134 people competed in the 2013 events over the course of the weekend. Race organizers are expecting more than 20,000 participants for the 37th annual event in May.
