Team in Training®

Why not make this exciting event the experience of a lifetime? Join our Team in Training® Program. You'll train with the team for four to six months, receive quality coaching and be matched with a local cancer survivor who'll motivate you every step of the way. Part of your reward will come from knowing that the funds you raise are helping The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's fight against blood cancers. Seventy- six percent of all monies raised support research to find treatments and ultimately, cures for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma.

Children's Tumor Foundation

Neurofibromatosis (NF) is a debilitating genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow randomly throughout the body on nerve sheaths. NF occurs in more than one in 3,000 births – more than Cystic Fibrosis, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and Huntington’s Disease combined, and many of those who struggle with NF are children.

The NF Marathon Team is a program organized for the purpose of supporting neurofibromatosis research and services. Volunteers on the NF Marathon Team participate in organized marathons and half-marathons all over the United States to increase public awareness of NF and to raise money to find a cure. The NF Marathon Team offers runners an outstanding opportunity to enjoy running in an environment that is welcoming, positive, and supportive, while raising money for a worthy and important cause.
The Children’s Tumor Foundation is the leading non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure and treatments for NF.

To join the children’s Tumor Foundation’s NF Marathon Team to help solve the NF puzzle, call 1-800-323-7938 X251 or visit www.ctf.org/marathon.

Thinking Beyond Borders

Thinking Beyond Borders is a non-profit organization that takes graduating high school seniors around the world for 8 months to study the AIDS epidemic in South Africa, sustainable agriculture in India, public education in China, environmental conservation in Vietnam, and clean water issues in Ecuador. In each country, students live with families, work with local organizations, study with top professors, and meet with various politicians to develop a broad perspective of the issues. The goal is to attack global issues at the absolute seed by creating a new generation of leaders who understand how to investigate and solve complex global issues.

We believe that the next generation of leaders will come from a variety of ethnicities, socioeconomic backgrounds, and citizenships, and we strive to provide our educational program for everyone through the TBB Scholarship Fund. Every penny you raise will be used to support students in need. Please help by participating in this event and CLICK HERE to donate or run on our behalf.

Since its founding in 1985, JWCF has supported awareness programs, education programs and support groups, and is aligned with like-minded groups and non-profits that advance the fight against cancer.
